오우, 맙소사, 아르헨티나 대통령, 터키 총리, 인도네시아 대통령, 브라질 대통령, 호주 총리, 그리고 일본 총리 아소 타로도 대령에게 환대받다니 아르헨티나도 터키도 인도네시아도 브라질도 호주도 일본도 글로벌 호구! 오우!

...물론 이건 일부. 사실 G-20 참석국가 수반 전체를 대령이 마중나갔으니 G-20 국가 모두 글로벌 호구!

많은 국가들이 타국 국가 수반 공식 환영식을 공항에서 바로 해서 사람들이 착각하는 모양인데... 미국에서 타국 국가 수반의 공식 환영식은 백악관에서 합니다. 공항에서 맞아주는 건 말 그대로 마중나가는 거나 다름없습니다=_= 물론 이것도 Office of the Chief of Protocol에서 프로토콜에 따라 계획되는 일입니다.

그러니까 손님 많다고 해서 국가 수반 맞이하는데 원래 준장 보낼걸 대령 보내는 일 따위는 없습니다. 프로토콜이 준장을 보내라고 한다면야 손님이 20명이든 100명이든 미군에 그걸 못 맞이할만큼 준장이 부족한 것도 아닙니다. 그러니까 쓸데없는 착각하지 않는 게 좋습니다.
