어쨌든, 알 카에다 간부들 때려잡고 빈 라덴 상큼하게 묵사발 내놔서 '나름대로' 승승장구였던 CIA에 또 이런 일이 터지는군요. 개인적으로는 작전 레벨의 실패보다는 그 실패로 인해 관리직 레벨과 외부에서 그걸 바로잡겠다고 달려드는 게 CIA에는 더 큰 문제가 되지 싶습니다. 두 학살자 얘기는 말할 필요도 없고, 사실 9/11 관련해서 USIC의 실패에 있어 지적된 부분들 상당수가 HUMINT 바닥에 있으면서 냉전기간때 당해본 것 & 말단 레벨의 삽질에 대한 대응 과정에서 생겨난 거니.

i.e. Q: 왜 CIA랑 FBI는 정보 공유를 안해서 이 지경이 됐나여? 제대로 공유했으면 9/11 예측했을지도 모름?

A: SIS나 CIA의 소비에트/동유럽 디비젼이 열심히 일해서 정보자산을 만듭니다 -> 그 관련파일을 FBI 정보부에 넘깁니다 -> 그러나 그 취급 담당자는 로버트 핸슨☆ -> 어머나, 정보자산이 처형당했네? X 십여번

게다가 삽질이나 실패라고 해도, 작전 레벨에서는 그 무시무시한 모국의 모 회사(...)도 추태를 보여줬고, 모사드만 해도 저번 암살기도건으로 망신당했고. 이번에 미국뿐만이 아니라 이스라엘 자산도 작살났다는 걸 보면 역시 저 바닥에서 일어나는 일이 그렇지... 하는 생각이 들기도 하고 말이죠.
